SpecPro supports the freshwater, ecological and toxicological research at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Great Lake Ecology Division by providing scientific information for use in predicting and assessing the effects of pollutants and other stressors on the sustainability of our nation's freshwater resources.

Under this effort, we provide a broad range of professional technical and facilities management services, including aquatic biologists and technicians responsible for complete management of the MED Culture Unit, which breeds and maintains fish, frogs, invertebrates, and other test flora/fauna for research.

We also maintain all facilities within the Culture Unit, including tanks, plumbing, and electrical systems while our staff performs research and development of breeding protocols and systems.
